To all Carefor Hospice Cornwall patient and family members:

Effective immediately we are asking each patient to identify ONE (1) non-rotating visitor be appointed while they reside in Hospice. Visiting hours are limited from 12:00PM to 5:30PM.

The designated visitor must be listed as an essential visitor and will be asked to complete a screening test upon each visit. Once screened by a staff member, we ask the visitor to remain in the room of their loved one and do no go to any common areas. As the COVID-19 situation progresses, these limitations are subject to change.

We recognize that this is an exceptionally challenging time for all families and caregivers. We encourage all visitors to self-screen before visiting Hospice. If you or a family member living in the same residence are showing any symptoms of COVID-19, we ask that you please remain at home and report to the Eastern Ontario Health Unit. We encourage family and loved ones to also take advantage of technology to visit with loved ones remotely through phone calls and FaceTime when possible.

Any exceptions to these limitations must be approved by management.

We would like to thank you for your understanding as we continue to adapt to current circumstances.

Sincerely,

The Team at Carefor Hospice Cornwall
