Like many non-profits, Carefor Hospice Cornwall is feeling the ripple effect of the pandemic. As the hospice relies on donations to help cover approximately 50% of the annual operating costs, fundraising in 2020 has been especially challenging.
@silverfxy, a local TikTok user with over 10K followers decided to put her videos to good use and fundraise for the Carefor Hospice in Cornwall. With the help of Visual Vinyl, @silverfxy is selling a clothing line with the “@silverfxy” name to followers from around the world. With orders already placed from the United States and the United Kingdom, @silverfxy is excited to see the fundraiser take off on a global scale in support of compassionate end-of-life care within her community. @silverfxy hopes to raise $5,000 for the local hospice.
“My mom passed away at the Carefor Hospice five years ago. I’m just happy I’ve found a way to give back to my community,” @silverfxy shared. The @silverfxy clothing line is available for purchase through visualvinyl.ca/silver-fxy.
Angela Labelle, General Manager of Carefor Hospice Cornwall shared “We are so thankful to our wonderful community in finding innovative and creative ways to fundraise for the Hospice. By doing so, it allows us to support our vulnerable clients during these unprecedented and challenging times.”
